Women in Business Networking Lunch
Women of the Chamber are invited to connect at a casual networking lunch on June 21. The featured speaker will be our own Tensley Garris, who will share reflections on her 20-year career leading the organization as she prepares for her retirement at the end of the month.
Tensley came to the Chamber in 2002 from the Chicago North Shore Convention & Visitors Bureau, where she was CNSCVB?s first Executive Director. During her tenure, she has guided the Chamber successfully through times of growth as well as challenge, including the Great Recession of 2008 and the COVID pandemic. She has represented the organization on the Northbrook Industrial & Commercial Development Commission and Economic Development Committee, as well as the Village?s Comprehensive Plan task force in 2010. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Northbrook Bank & Trust Company and the CNSCVB. A native of North Carolina, Tensley has been a Northbrook resident since 2012; she and her husband Harley Korman now look forward to splitting their time between Northbrook and Arizona.
Luncheon attendees will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and their businesses and network informally. Advance registration is required.
